Mantra Raw Vegan {the best vegan raw vegetarian spot in milan, and probably all of italy}

Best healthy address of Milan is HANDS down, Mantra Raw Vegan. This awesome spot is ideal for any and everyone interested in healthy and delicious juices, meals and desserts. I must admit, I have yet to find a spot that compares in Paris. Mantra Raw combines a market, where snacks, seeds, superfoods, cold pressed juices, teas and sweets are available for purchase as well as a fully functioning restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner. I had the pleasure of stopping by for a bite and a juice while in Milan.

Owner and founder Marina insisted on preparing me their house signature and best seller – TOSTAVO. This delectable is a composition of raw bread, dehydrated for 18 hours, with mashed avocado, cold smoked cherry tomatoes, marinated fennel and edible flowers. It was not only beautiful but supper yummy. Likewise, I tasted and very much enjoyed a coconut tiRAWmisu (ha ha – it’s true though) that Is caffeine free! Perfect for those looking for cut back on their caffeine or that are very sensitive to caffeine in the evening hours (like me). And finally, to drink, the Mantra cold pressed AUMARANCIONE. A juice consisting of carrots, oranges and lemon. Oh la la, incredibly fresh and wonderful.

I truly do not have enough positive things to say about this wonderful place. It has everything you could ever want or need to feel good and eat right. The Best Vegan Lunch Box in Paris {is found at la guinguette d’angèle, the woman who helped started the well-being revolution in paris}

I may not be a vegan, but I most certainly enjoy a yummy vegan meal. It seems like a new address pops up every day in Paris, but my heart still lies with the woman who started it all – Angèle. I discovered La Guinguette d’Angèle while working at A.P.C., where her famous lunchboxes frequented our photoshoot sets. It was always the best kind of day when the shoot was catered by Angèle.

The business has now expanded and is no longer just a catering service. There are now two storefront locations in Paris, one in the first, for take away only (34 rue Coquillère) and a takeaway AND eat in location in the eleventh (2 Rue du Général Renault). She also has her own line of granola, kale chips (and much more) and 2 cookbooks! I stopped by to eat lunch there today and it was well worth the visit.

Lunch started with their daily lunch box, a mixture of organic and vegan ingredients including homemade beet hummus, salad, grains and a lentil pea salad. Simple and very light but excellent. Thus, I could not help but to treat myself to a piece of her delicious vegan, gluten free banana bread for dessert – and oh yes, it was good. The perfect end to a incredibly vitamin rich and delicious meal that left me feeling happy. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nutritious meal that tastes good and really makes you feel good. For more information, check out her website.

LIIFE EAT SMART {food focused on fitness, health and the environment}

So I’m officially (very naturally) attracted to good food and healthy things. Why? Well – by chance I happened to stumble on a place basically created for people like me and you. Intrigued by their windows decorated with running shoes, fruits and vegetables and a sign that advertised detox juices, açaí bowls and fitness friendly lunch formulas, I decided to check it out.

Liife Eat Smart’s concept is based on three principles – fitness, health and the environment. This is made extremely clear by their menu that is catered to nutritionally rich ingredients that improve fitness performance and all around well-being. The menu changes seasonally with a host of salad creative salad options with protein rich toppings, warm dishes and vitamin rich desserts. Yesterday, I enjoyed their Quinoline salad – a delicious mixture of quinoa, estragon seasoned pink lentils, rich hummus and a light shallot sauce. I added a lemon ginger infused chicken protein topping to my salad, and was very content and ready to go for my yoga class later that day. Also – their juices are not to be missed. Liife likewise sponsors many events around the city that you will find on my Facebook page and their site. They even have a stand at the Midtown Sports Club in the first. Liife is the first healthy restaurant created for athletes in Paris and they have most certainly succeeded in everything that they are doing. Where to practice yoga in London {triyoga has the hookup for pilates and spa treatments too and locations all over the city}

I must admit it was not been an easy task to find good yoga in London (sorry, just being honest). After countless visits, I nearly gave up – but then I found Triyoga. This multi-functional studio is calm and offers many different styles of yoga as well as pilates and treatments. They have several locations all around the city. Even from my short weekend experience, I can assure you that each and every one of their studios is a truly peaceful environment made for well-being.

While at Triyoga, I did three different classes at three different locations. Upon arrival on Friday night, I went to a Hot Yoga class at their Soho location. The location was in Kingsly Court, a happening indoor food market with fun lights and atmosphere. The class was not vinyasa, nor bikram but an more “hatha” based practice in a (very) heated room. The class was an open level class, but I appreciated the advanced options also available and instructed by teacher Giorgos Aleandris. On Saturday morning I ventured to Chelsea for a Vinyasa Level 2-3 with well known yogi Adam Hustler. The class was exactly as described and focused on correct alignment in more difficult postures. I left with my heart feeling open and a more fluid flow. For the grand finale – on my last day in London, I took a Warm Vinyasa class with Imi Wiseman at their Camden location. First – big nods to this Triyoga studio. It is like a mini yoga village and smells (literally and physically) zen. This included the class was next level (in every way) . The emphasis on breath combined with the flow sequence was absolutely fantastic and Charli’s energy was spot on. Please do not miss this Triyoga location, nor this class next time you’re in town (or if you happen to be a London Towner yourself).

All in all I must say this has been far and away my best yoga experience in London. I recommend their studio whole heartedly. And hey – if you’re not a yogi, I do truly believe their treatments and pilates classes must be wonderful (seeing their success in the yoga world). Not to mention, they always have a juice bar and healthy snacks available for purchase at all of their studios. For more information check out their website.

Deliciously Ella is really just that delicious {the kinda food that is healthy, good for you and super yummy}

So I touched down in London town yesterday afternoon and I must say it has been a lovely little getaway thus far. Time for repo with my mother has been more than much needed and enjoying it at my favorite places has made it key. That being said, today I got to eat at my favorite healthy institution here in this darling city: Deliciously Ella.

We arrived at midday hungry and ready to eat. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly and the ambiance immersed by solely good vibes, but the food was just to die for. I did a mixed plate – quinoa perfectly seasoned, smooth and creamy hummus, a incredibly flavorful falafel with curried cauliflower (@jjchase for foodporn). All I can say is wow. This combination was not only a dream, but likewise organic, vegan and gluten free(?) Ella takes all of her recipes seriously, and it shows. Everything is 100% plant based and catered to anyone’s faves (in the healthiest possible way). My mum enjoyed chili with red cabbage and corn bread. Oh la la! Did she leave a happy camper. Not to mention Deliciously Ella spent most of the day with us. I later enjoyed a Fiery Organic Ginger Shot alongside a ROOTS Juice (composed of carrots, apples, beets, lemon and ginger), yum. Mum had a peanut cookie, I DID try and wondered why I didn’t take one too.

Ella herself has an incredibly story and it makes me feel truly blessed and grateful to enjoy her food and products. Don’t forget that her London restaurants are not her only gig. PARISIAN LOS ANGELES TAKEOVER {french california based pr consultant anne diagne gives gives us the low down on the best places to eat healthy, enjoy nature and stay fit in la}

You’re in for a real treat. Well-known fashion PR consultant Parisian born and LA based Anne Diagne gave me the low down on the city she has now called home for over two years and I can’t wait to share it with y’all. Passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and staying fit, Anne has successfully sought out the secret local and all around best spots in this big city to enjoy Mother Nature and eat like a green goddess.

To stay in shape, Anne heads to Silver Lake Reservoir – The Meadow to relax and unwind. In this calm setting, Anne highly recommends meditating by the water and bringing your yoga mat along for a practice in the meadow. For those runners out there, you can also put your feet to the ground for a calm run along the reservoir. Now for what else… but HIKING. What would an LA chick be without her favorite spot to hike? Anne’s preferred location is Elysian Park in East LA for a shorter hike with a beautiful view of Downtown LA and Griffith Park for a more difficult one, where you also have the opportunity to enjoy one of the world’s most incredible observatories and planetariums.

As a vegetarian for over 15 years, greens and healthy eating is in her blood. Her all time favorite spot to keep those good and well-being vibes flowing is at MH ZV in Silverlake. This Israeli spot is tasty and delicious, with dishes made from only local ingredients. Don’t miss their potatoes with lemon, Anne promises it will take you to Tel Aviv and back. For a touch of Paris in LA, Cafe Stella is a no brainer, and for her favorite Mexican joint? Salazar. The place is very local using only organic ingredients. The vegetarian tacos are supposedly to die for (Anne is always talking about them). Last but definitely not least, the best place to recharge for a juice? Kreation in Venice. Anne swears on their blending creations (and also loves walking on Abbot Kinney with one in hand). This fashion guru with 10 years of experience in the field is forever french (a Parisian born and bred), but has that real Californian chill vibe. I can happily assure you she knows those real hot spots in LA.
